There are many ways to reset windows password. If you’re on a domain, you should contact your system administrator to reset your password. If you’re not on a domain, you can reset your password by using a password reset disk or by using an administrator account.
Please read following Microsoft article for further detail.
If you cant do above all or don’t have reset disk or admin account, Don’t worry Please fellow following instructions.
1. Restart your computer using windows reinstallation disk and select “Repair Computer” option
2. Follow instructions until you find the option to open command prompt, Click on open Command prompt link
3.Once you are on DOS prompt/command prompt, Type following commands
To backup the original sticky keys file:
copy c:windowssystem32sethc.exe c:
Then you’ll copy the command prompt executable (cmd.exe) over top of the sticky keys executable:
copy c:windowssystem32cmd.exe c:windowssystem32sethc.exe
Please replace the drive letter with your disk drive letter it can be c: ,d:,e: or any
4. Once files copied , Reboot the system as normal
5. Once you get to the login screen, hit the Shift key 5 times or more, and you’ll see an administrator mode command prompt. type following command to reset password
net user UserName newpassword
Be happy , Now you can login with your new password!!!
IF you recevied Windows disable message. Dont worry just press Shift key 5 time and enter following command on dos prompt
net user administrator /active:yes
*** You may want to put the original sethc.exe file back, which you can do by rebooting into the installation CD, opening the command prompt, and copying the c:sethc.exe file back to c:windowssystem32sethc.exe.
